"Catch up"

I promised a catch up post that would bring you all up to speed on what we have been doing the past few years, and here it is...

Phillip and I were introduced by a friend and started long distance dating while he went to school in Wyoming and I was in Salt Lake. It didn't take long for him to decide to move down :) We got engaged in June and were married just 6 short (but I remember them being long) weeks later on August 11th.

We continued to live in Salt Lake City by the University of Utah where Phillip and I were going to school. We spent the summer of 08' in Atlanta for work and about 2 months after we got home we found out we were expecting a baby. Porter was born in June right after I graduated. PS. They say no one looks good in graduation gear; well I can say with 100% surety that being 9 months pregnant does not help that! But 9 months pregnant I finally graduated with a degree in sociology and human development.

After Porter was born things got pretty crazy but after the shock of a baby wore off we have had a lot of fun with him. He was a really ornery baby but has grown into such a sweet little guy.

Another grueling semester for Phillip and he finished a chemistry degree in December. Yeah for being done!! Well at least for now... Phillip plans on going to law school in the fall of 2011. I'm very grateful for the time off even if it is only for a short while.

Porter is growing like a weed and is almost 8 months old! He crawls like a champ unless I'm around and then he just lies there and waits for me to come get him. I think he is taking advantage of me :) He has 2 beautiful teeth and is currently learning to clap.

Phillip and I decided to move to Massachusetts and 'house-sit' for my sister Audri's in-laws while they serve a mission in Germany for 18 months. The timing should work out perfectly so we will be done house-sitting just in time to go back to school; but if there is one thing I've leaning nothing ever goes as planned so we'll play it by ear...
